3 Days PADI Open Water Diver Course

Day 1

~*~ Welcome to the World of Scuba Diving ~*~

Ever thought about learning to dive? Then choose the PADI Open Water (OW) Diver Course and learn to dive in the tropical waters of Kota Kinabalu. Here you can learn to dive in the safe diving conditions of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.

PADI is the world’s leading scuba diving training organization – and the PADI Open Water Diver Course is a popular choice for becoming a certified diver. The PADI OW Course takes 3 days to complete (plus some pre-study). As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you will be able to dive up to 18m, with a buddy, wherever you choose to go diving.

The typical Itinerary is as follows (please note this is tailored based on the students taking the course):

PRICE INCLUDES Sabah Park diving fee of RM50.00 per person per course, Jetty Fee, Certification Card (PIC) & Log Book, Open Water Diver Manual, Instructions by Professional Qualified Instructor, scheduled return city area hotel transfer to jetty, schedule dive and 3 days lunch.

REMARKS

In the event a student diver requires more day(s) to complete the course, there will be an additional charge of RM260.00 per day per person for tuition fees & equipment rental.

There are some pre requisites for the PADI Open Water Diver course:

  • You also need to be 10 years or older. Anyone under 18 years of age will need to be supervised by a Parent / Guardian.
  • To become a scuba diver, you need to be comfortable in the water and have basic swimming skills - As part of the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah you will be required to do a 10 minute float in water to deep to stand up in and a 200m 'free style' swim. There is no time limit for the swim test.
  • You should also be in good overall general health to dive, particularly your respiratory and circulatory system. You will be asked to self-certify before starting a course or entering the water.
  • You need to have completed some pre-study before you start the PADI Open Water course.
