Lankayan Island Dive Resort is a much acclaimed tropical island paradise resort offering everything from small number of guests, great beaches, superior rooms and food, and fantastic macroworld diving around more than thirty dive sites, including two wrecks.
A jewel-like tiny island in the Sulu Sea, an hour & a half boat transfer's north of Sandakan. Lankayan is soon to be declared part of an immense Marine Conservation Area. Unpopulated and covered by thick tropical rainforest on its topside, this peaceful, untouched little bit of paradise is ringed by an endless pure white sandy beach, offering simply elegant and exquisite accommodation in a handful of wooden, roomy and perfectly appointed seafront double-occupancy chalets.
While the ideal destination for those who search tranquility and relaxation in a virgin natural setting and for families with children, Lankayan Island is also one of the hottest diving destination on the map today : its dive sites - all just a few minutes away - boast unbelievably colorful macro fauna, fascinating wrecks and in season from March to May, regular sightings of gigantic and harmless whale sharks, the " dream date " of every diver in the world. | | Day 1 : Sandakan Airport – Jetty – Lankayan Island
Meet at 0930hour for transfer to Sandakan Yatch Club Jetty. At 1000 hour, proceed to Lankayan Island on a 1 hour and a half journey in fair sea and weather condition via speed boat. Arrive Lankayan at 1130 hour and head to restaurant for a welcome drink and short briefing. Check into chalet or room. After Lunch, free at leisure to explore island, swim, snorkel or kayak. Afternoon tea time snacks at 1630 hour. Dinner at 1900 hour. Overnight in Lankayan Island Dive Resort. (Lunch, Dinner)

Free at leisure to swim, snorkel or kayak. Overnight in Lankayan Island Dive Resort.
Other activities available – rental basis: Ocean Kayaking and snorkeling

Day 3 : Breakfast – Sandakan Jetty – Airport
After early breakfast, ready for check out. At 0700 hour, return to Sandakan Yatch Club Jetty. Upon arriving Sandakan, transfer to airport or next drop off point.
