Leisure Dive

Tour Code: GES-ID-002      Destination: Sabah      Interest: Island/Diving/Fishing

~*~ Welcome to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah ~*~

Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP) Marine Park is conveniently located 15 minutes boat ride from Kota Kinabalu. TARP comprises 5 islands that offer an extensive range of diving experiences on good quality fringing reefs (thanks to the area’s protected status).
Visibility is usually around 15m and currents tend to be light, so this is a good area for relatively new divers or those seeking a relaxing dive experience. Many of the reefs are at 5m – 15m, although others may drop as deep as 25m. Marine life is abundant, and a wide variety of fish and nudibranchs proliferate. Turtles are a regular feature. Pelagic are less common, but Bamboo and Nurse Sharks sometimes visit and the park is on the migration route for Whale Sharks – if you are lucky you may see one around March time.
