"A day without plastic bag is harmless. It brings smile to our health and Mother Nature. Say NO to plastic and YES to recycle bags. If we can do it, so can you. C - The Management"

Visit to Don Bosco Children Home in Bundu Tuhan

In conjunction with the new year - Management and Staff of Good Earth Travel & Tour along with their family and friends from Shimada Gym and Kinabalu Pine Resort visited the Don Bosco Children Home in Bundu Tuhan on Saturday, 10th January 2009.

Here we had the pleasure of meeting its founder - Brother Benedict Snoeren or more lovingly known as Brother Ben who started the home in 1966. Today it homes 85 children aged between the ages of 6 to 19 years from all over Sabah.

Brother Ben explained that most of the children were in school for replacement class that day hence were unable perform a song and dance as a token of appreciation however he did bring us on a tour of the home which is currently under going some renovation and maintenance work.

During the visit, RM1,900.00 was contributed to the home along with foodstuff such as rice, eggs, biscuits, milo, milk, sugar, Maggie mee, cordial drinks, sweets, chocolates and other gifts such as story books, exercise books, stationary, uniforms, toys and towels.

The vision and mission of this home is to provide a normal education and social life for the children since many suffered as orphans or come from broken, neglected and poverty-stricken homes. This home is entirely dependant on the generosity of the public as its source of income.
